What is this settlement about?

Team Group, Inc. agreed to a $1.1 million settlement resolving claims that it deceptively advertised the speed of its DDR-3, DDR-4, and DDR-5 (DRAM) memory products. The lawsuit alleges Team Group's advertised speeds (e.g. DDR4-3600, DDR5-6000) implied "out of the box" performance, when in reality reaching those speeds requires the buyer to enable Intel XMP or AMD EXPO profiles in the BIOS/UEFI — something many consumers don't know to do. The complaint, Griffin v. Team Group, argues the advertising violated state consumer-protection statutes and breached express warranty. Team Group denies the allegations and is settling without admitting wrongdoing. The Settlement Administrator is Angeion Group; Class Counsel is Dovel & Luner, LLP.

Who's excluded: Excluded are Team Group and its affiliates, the judges and magistrates on the case, Class Counsel, and anyone who validly opts out. Business purchases by excluded entities are not covered.

How much can you get?

  • Up to 5 modules — no proof

Claim a pro rata cash payment per module for 1–5 Team Group/T-Force modules per household with no receipts. The per-module amount multiplies linearly (a 5-module claim pays 5x a 1-module claim).

  • 6+ modules — proof required

For more than 5 modules per household, provide proof of purchase (receipts, order confirmations, invoices, or photos showing the SKU) for the additional modules. The first 5 are accepted without documentation.
