What is this settlement about?

Wang et al. v. Grubhub, Inc. resolves allegations that Grubhub made false or misleading representations about its delivery fees, service fees, and menu prices on delivery orders placed for delivery to California addresses. Grubhub denies the allegations and any wrongdoing; the court has not decided who is right but has approved the settlement. Eligible California customers who ordered through Grubhub or its Seamless brand during the class period can claim a $10 Grubhub site credit.

Who's excluded: Class members who exclude themselves get no award but keep their right to sue Grubhub separately. Orders placed for delivery outside California, or outside the January 24, 2019 – January 12, 2026 class period, are not covered. The benefit is a Grubhub/Seamless site credit, not cash.
