  • Ordered from a Fanatics-operated website while in the U.S., May 6 2018 – Mar 30 2026
  • Were assessed and paid a handling fee (separate from shipping)
  • Have the ClaimID and PIN from your email notice (or request them from the administrator)

What is this settlement about?

The Fanatics settlement resolves Cavanaugh v. Fanatics, LLC in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The lawsuit alleges Fanatics advertised 'Free Shipping' or flat low-cost shipping on its e-commerce sites while charging a separate 'handling fee' on the same orders — effectively charging for shipping under a different label, in violation of Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. Fanatics operates dozens of sports stores (NFL Shop, NBA Store, MLB Shop, NHL Shop, FansEdge, and many team/college stores), and the class covers handling-fee purchases on any of them. Fanatics denies wrongdoing and settled without admitting liability.

Who's excluded: Only orders placed while in the U.S., through a Fanatics website, that were actually assessed and paid a handling fee distinct from shipping qualify. The benefit is store credit, not cash.

How much can you get?

  • Two $5 vouchers — $10 store credit

Each voucher is $5 off a single fanatics.com purchase with no minimum. The two can't be combined on one order, each redeems once, they're non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire 12 months after issuance. They can stack with code-free site-wide sales.
