What is this settlement about?

A settlement resolves Jones et al. v. Lands' End, Inc. (Circuit Court for Iowa County, Wisconsin) over a December 2024 data security incident affecting part of Lands' End's systems. According to the notice, cybercriminals may have accessed files containing names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license and/or passport information, and in limited cases medical information. Lands' End denies wrongdoing and the court has not decided the merits; the parties settled to avoid the costs and risks of continued litigation.

Who's excluded: Excluded are Lands' End and its directors/officers, government entities, the presiding judge and their family and court staff, and anyone who validly opts out. Expenses already reimbursed by a third party can't be claimed.
