What is this settlement about?
Thriveworks — one of the largest outpatient mental-health and therapy providers in the U.S. — was accused in Mosher, et al. v. Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC of embedding tracking technologies (pixels) on its website and patient portal that disclosed sensitive information and private communications to third parties such as Google and LinkedIn without patients' consent, in violation of state and federal privacy law. Thriveworks denies any wrongdoing but agreed to a settlement to avoid the cost and risk of continued litigation, and agreed to review the software on thriveworks.com to prevent collection of patient medical information without consent.
Who's excluded: Class members who opt out by July 21, 2026 give up any payment but keep the right to sue separately. Anyone who did not use the thriveworks.com patient portal during the April 25, 2023 – September 5, 2025 period is not covered.
